You hear it all the time “having kids ruins your sex life”,
“once you get married you stop having sex”.........
And yes to a point most of this is rubbish.
Most of it.....
But what about the parts that are true?
Well yes, having kids does hinder your sex life
somewhat. I mean when they are babies
you are lucky to even get sleep and have enough energy to get on with the day
never mind have sex!
If you are really unlucky you could get post natal
depression which goes hand in hand on killing your sex drive.
Then they get older and if you are lucky enough they sleep
during the day which means when they have finished running round your feet
20000 times a day you can nap when they do.
Or even find some time for a quickie.
Something along the lines of “quick he’s asleep we have 20 minutes”....
Once they get much older they start to learn about things
and what you are doing and that is just cringe worthy.
So what do you do?
How do you get it all back? You
know the way you were when you first got together, the way you took any chance
possible to have sex anywhere whenever.
Or maybe the question is how did I get it back?
Well the answer is sex toys.
Yes. I found sex toy
websites and even joined a forum to talk about sex. And the more toys I bought and talked about
sex the more sex I wanted and the more my sex drive came back!
I started testing toys and the thrill of trying new things,
things I never thought I would ever want to try, made us closer. The spark came back, our relationship was no
longer doomed. I no longer wanted to
avoid sex, I wanted it more and more!
Sex toys are still a subject that is taboo in some circles
and I don’t see why! They are not a
replacement in your sex life but a extension of your sex life. A way to explore new and exciting things with
your partner or without.
